Job Description:

We are seeking a DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) with proven experience in distributed environments and IBM AS/400 (iSeries) systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the performance, security, and availability of our databases while participating in strategic integration and modernization projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage, monitor, and optimize DB2 databases in distributed environments and AS/400 (iSeries). 

– Perform installation, configuration, and updates of DB2 instances. 

– Ensure data integrity and security by implementing backup, recovery, and audit policies. 

– Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and connectivity issues. 

– Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and data modeling. 

– Participate in migration, replication, and integration projects between legacy systems (AS/400) and modern platforms. 

– Document processes, create runbooks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. 

Mandatory Requirements:

– Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DB2 DBA in corporate environments. 

– Proficiency in distributed systems (Linux/Unix/Windows) and hybrid architectures. 

– Knowledge of IBM AS/400 (iSeries), including administration of native databases (DB2 for i). 

– Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., IBM Data Server Manager), scripting (SQL, CL, Python), and automation. 

– Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure and ensure high availability. 

– B2 English proficiency  

Preferred Qualifications:

– IBM DB2 or AS/400 certifications. 

– Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud). 

– Knowledge of other database platforms (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL). 

– Remote work flexibility.
